I'm desperatley in need of an upgrade, but I'm kind of thankful because lack of storage has kept my collection to remain relatively small.

It's no different now - people trying to outdo ! each other in extremes. There are people who like X, and there are people who say X are wimps; they like Black Flag.

Steve, I have the Billy bookshelf from Ikea,

I used the Billy set-up too, but then the squarehead bastards stopped making the Cherry veneer, so no more matching pieces.

I got a bunch of three foot high three-shelf deals from target that work splendidly.

And aces to Restoration Hardware, that place rocks but will destroy a bank account faster 'n Ted Kennedy could take down a buffet.

Likely too small for your needs, but I use these:

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s ... ctId=51462

Since they come (in my case just) below eye level it doesn't make a small room look as crowded as the big looming tower does. They're real slim against a wall, too, fit just about anywhere.
