At least, most of the time, if you had to pick one reason...

That was me about 2 1/2 years ago.

I'm trying to heal it now by rarely ever drinking.

It's ala Hank Williams, Jr. you dumb son of a bitch.

It's called "Family Tradition"

What if I meant merely getting drunk, ala DAC?

When in doubt, vote for David Allen Coe even if you aren't quoting his songs.

Dangit, that one was staring me in the face, too. I apologize. Also could've added "Is part of State-modified Food Pyramid" for my locale.

I really don't drink much anymore - now it is more of an occassional chill-out after work with a Crown and Diet Coke more than anything....I love Microbrews as well but rarely find myself drinking them.

I left out some good possibilities, but it's my first poll. I'll do better next time.

And of course now I have an immense craving for a beer.

I drink to relax or increase social skills. I'm so much more fun to be around when I have a good buzz going. At least that's what it seems like to me.

Yeah, I'm the same way in social situations. Which is when I drink. Which these days with increasing domesticity is rare.

I'm shy as hell and never talk to people so if I have two drinks then I do.

To quote the late great Dean Martin

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. They wake up in the morning and that's the best they're going to feel all day."
