holy shit, what a god damned show. i think the first 5 or so tunes came right off suicide invoice, by far my fave record of theirs. even played a little jehu [luau] which whooped major ass. over all i think they played for close to 1 1/2 hours, including and encore that jusst kep on going. and goin. and going.
the 2nd band of the night, heartaches [?] were pretty fucking lame.
the real surprise was getting there to find that bad wizard was on the bill, unbeknownst to us. talk about walking into a good situation. they seriously ripped the crowd a new one, even with the shitloads of gear trouble they were having. i cant remember the last time i saw an opener that good...

Saw HSnakes on Sunday night.... It was No Luau, if it was the same song I saw....

Amazingness, followed by sadness 'cause they're breaking up, followed by tingling in my special place...

they did "bullet train to vegas" in addition to "luau" in new york. i wasn't there, but heard the good word this morning. what a great band. i'll miss knowing they're around, but it'd be nice for john to get back to another rftc record sometime.

that's right, 'bullet train' was the other tune they threw in.
at the end of the show, this guy in the audience grabbed a mic & screamed something to the effect of 'hey, dont play that other shit, this is hot snakes motherfuckers!'
oh, nyc audiences.

i used to have a bootleg of probably the first time they ever covered "bullet train to vegas" and it was in san diego. when it starts, the crowd screams and you can hear a guy right near the recorder scream, "OH! MY! GOD! NO. FUCKING. WAY. OH MY GOD!" it sounded unreal.

I saw them Monday in San Diego at the Casbah. Great show as well.
Saw Froberg in my neghborhood taco shop. he got two fish tacos. didn't bother him though.

Should have worn earplugs. Gotta love that low end rumble they get going.

rick kinda looked like he was annoyed with gar when he kept laughing and suggesting stuff to him.
