Only in this day and age do we find these things wrong. A hundred years ago and even a little less it was very commonplace for families to pair off their teenage daughters with older men for a dowry. And while I don't condone it I suppose the girls back then were a tad bit more mature then they are today. They worked hard and they didn't have the bullshit that goes on around kids today.

...that and life expectancies were a bit shorter, which is a factor on both sides of this.

Ever tried talking to an 18 year old girl?

hell, I have a guy I am training just out of college, and that is only 5 years difference and what these people are into, and their life experiences are so beyond the realm of what I am into, or was into, that it is almost impossible to communicate, much less have a meaningful relationship.

I'll add more to this scenario. It's a long distance relationship (in the same state) and he's only physically seen her twice.

No offense, Tania, but your friend is strange. This whole thing does reek of desperation.

Here we go with the rest of the story.....First seeing eachother twice is no kind of a relationship. Seeing someone twice and THINKING you ar ein a relationship is creepy.

I dunno...

If it is purely a hook-up thing, then he's legal, she's legal....it happens....Look at Hef.

If it is a relationship, then there is something wrong with noth of em....

Is this guy a teacher? This kind of crap happens way too often in my profession. A colleague of mine recently "resigned" because of one of these things, and I know some guys in the area who have done jail time. Yeah, it's all in the "what kind I get out of it" vein for both parties. They both usually see it as a score. If you did stats on these types of relationships five years down the road, I'd bet less than 10% of them are still together or can even tolerate the sight of each other.

On the other hand, we've got this whole thread about this being creepy or wrong, but it's somehow okay for a guy to do everything he can to bang a young, male Mormon? OK....

That young, male Mormon is 26.

Let's face it, you're not bothered by the fact that he's young, as much as the fact that he's a male. Don't you have to go beat up your wife?

I don't care how old he is, it's still creepy/sick. It's all about perception anyway, isn't it. And yeah, it's even more about him being male. And for your information, I've never laid a hand on my wife in anger.

Frankly, I couldn't care less what you think is creepy or sick.

To me, I find it sick (and sad) that a man like you is in a position to influence our children and be so ignorant. Not to mention a homophobe.

Good job teach.

We don't bring up sexual preferences in the Jr. High educational process very often. Not advocating homosexuality does not make me ignorant, I just have a different set of beliefs. A set of beliefs that I am not ashamed of. Now, making a correlation between my profession and my feelings about homosexuality is ignorant.

I know a couple 30-year-olds who are such immature dipshits that they probably should be seeing high school girls. Instead, one of them is seeing some hot asian surgeon, which has everyone who knows him going "WTF??!" How???

But, yeah, I often find it tough to even relate to people who are still in college (undergrads), much less high school. They generally haven't been brought down by enough real life experiences, but the worst thing is when they think they've got shit all figured out.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. I didn't say that you bring up sexual preferences in school, but rather that you are an ignorant fuck who judges people because of their sexual preference, and are in a position to influence the future of our country. You can call me ignorant all you want but I won't be the one voting against your right to get married.

I'm not judging you. In fact, I kinda like you other than the fact that every other post you make is for no other purpose than to exclaim how great it is to be gay. Congratulations. Don't call me ignorant, you don't know me like that. By the way, I do a very good job of leading our young people and I dont' need you to tell me that I don't.

I'm too scared to tell my sister this because she's a huge bitch, but I really think this is her problem. She keeps getting back with this piece of shit 28 year old boyfriend, when she has so many more possibilities ahead of her. She is extremely gorgeous and everyone knows it so why the fuck would you keep getting back together with someone who has treated you like shit and lied to you..about numerous things. I don't get it, she "loves" him, but even if I loved someone I could never be with them if I didn't trust them. I can't see how she possibly would or isn't fucking disgusted with this man.

Golden Rule Of Dating #1:

Pretty girls like to be treated like shit. They don't think they do, but their actions prove otherwise, time and time again.

Pleeeeease don't jump up my ass about this ladies, because I don't make the rules. No, not every pretty girl, no not all the time. But often enough that there's a widely-recognized rule for it. Go to a college town, look around for a while. Pick out 10 "hot" girls, and then magically get to know them. 6 or 7 are going to be dating men who treat them pretty crappily on a regular basis, to an outside observer.

Oh, and do what makes you happy, Opert. What happens in someone else's bedromm is NONE of my business... never has been.

Y'see, my problem with people like you, OPA, is that you demand respect from everyone for your right to homosexuality, but you refuse to return any respect to those who disagree with you. If you want to have sex with Mormon-boy, go for it. Don't expect me to stand by and cheer you on, and you're quick to call me a homophobe or an "ignorant fuck" because I won't. You, like many others, see it as a one way street.

Hmm...

For a teacher, you are a dumb fuck. Nobody asked you to cheer me on, but when you sit there and slam my decision to be with a Mormon man because you feel it's sick, I'm gonna call you an ignorant fuck. It's one thing to respectfully disagree with my lifestyle, it's another to call it creepy and sick. To that I say, go fuck yourself.

I have a theory on this phenomenon. Hot girls get hit on constantly in almost every aspect of their lives and probably have since they sprouted boobs. They have neverending line of guys who will bend over backwards to be with them and kiss the ground they walk on. Then along comes Mr. Asshole who could care less and that triggers the light bulb. Why is he different? etc, etc.

I also realize there are exceptions but I have seen this up close. I think the times that I have met someone I really like are usually when I'm completely content with myself and not looking for shit. Women can sense confidence.

I'm with the Kentwood Kangaroo.

I will also admit I will judge people on their sexual exploits.

I think drinking pee is sick, yet I bet there's someone I know who enjoys it.

This OPA!/Stop Breathin' argument is much more entertaining than the one's I usually get involved. Jebus vs. The Faggots is always a fun one to watch.
