So I go out to my car this morning and there is this cracked out looking Bluejay just chillin' on top of my car. He just sat there and stared didn't hop around or nuthin'. The fact that I was up close and personal did not bother him one bit. He was not moving. I ended up having to poke him with a stick to get him to fly away.
I've heard that if you see any dead birds in the neighborhood you need to call animal control, but haven't heard anything about disoriented ones. My neighborhood and especially my backyard is a breeding ground for the tiny bloodsuckers that spread west nile v. You guys think I should be worried? Does anyone know the symptoms? I s it like the sleeping sickness spread by the mischevious tsi tsi fly?

I know a lady whose job includes being the person who tells the goernment when and were US civilians should be encouraged to board up the doors and not come out for a few months in the event of bird flu madness. Crazy shit. She herself stores a YEARS worth of food at home.
