I know it's early but is anyone going to this show in October? It's at the Bowery Ballroom on the 10th. I'm considering coming down to NYC for it.

Also, anyone else think this Jamie Lidell video for The City is awesome?

I can't decide whether I love it or if it annoys the shit out of me. I think I love it.

The song is good too, but it sounds nothing like the rest of his album (which is pretty damn good from what I've heard).

EDIT: I didn't really make this clear, but while the song is good, it seems like an attempt to hit it big with what's popular right now. The rest of his album is much more laid-back and retro sounding than this, which seems like it's trying to get popular with the fans on the LCD bandwagon.

I'm not sure if all these shows are with Four Tet or not. I know Four Tet is playing Boston but it's with Hot Chip and not Jamie Lidell.

edit: Just checked the Four Tet site and most of these shows are Four Tet, Jamie Lidell & Koushik.

I'd rather see Jamie Lidell with someone other than Four Tet. I think he (Lidell) can do better...or at least a little more exciting...

Yeah if I go to this show I don't think I'll be hanging around for Four Tet unless his first song is stellar.

Who know the Museum of Contemp. Art did shows? I sure as hell didn't. That's awesome! October is shaping up to be a hell of a music month.

Anyone seen Jaime live?

No, but he looks like a demented Wilson Pickett from this live video.

And by demented Wilson Pickett, I mean fucking awesome.
