Not to mention they'll have to stop playing at 10 so the dance crowd can come in. I'm still bitter they didn't let Dinosaur Jr play their second encore.

I heard a few of them back in June when they did a small southeastern tour before Bonnaroo, and they kicked lots of anus. I wish they were coming closer than Atlanta on a Thursday. Still might try and make the trip, though.

I kinda like early shows since I get to leave early. But yeah, if they're gonna fuck with the headliners about encores then fuck the venue.

the set at bonnaroo was insane. lots of tunes that I recognized when I heard Z the other day. they brought this puppetry troupe from Kentucky with them and they had this dude dressed as a musical conducter with long grey hair and suit conducting them the entire set. of course they were headbanging half the time and coulsnt see him conducting him so towards the end when they gave the puppetry troupe and the conductor props they explained by saying they had mental telepathy. the puppets were people with extensions so that they were 15 feet tall. one of the most bizarre and memorable shows ive seen.

when i saw them with wilco in june they played 'what a wonderful man' and 'off the record.' they both sounded great, but i'd imagine they're playing more from the new album on this tour.

Yea, those are probably the 2 that I heard (the end of "Off the Record" slayed). I saw them in a really small music club, so that definitely helped a lot, I am sure.

I'd probly be up for this. I havent been to the Roxy since Wilco played there a few years ago. Pretty swell venue.

They did the conductor thing when I saw them in June. I kept waiting for the gag to let up, but it never did.

i actually kinda dislike it. the floor area is small and there's way too much seating for what seems'd be appropriate for a my morning jacket show.

the combination of already seeing them this year and new pornographers two nights earlier is not boding well for me attending this show, but perhaps. october's a while away still.
