Correll Buckhalter

Pencil him in as your Game 2 starter. Westbrook will leave the Dome in the back of an ambulance.

That would imply your team can actually make a tackle.

I don't understand this "they'll be second best without TO" junk. They still were second best with him.

I can't stand the NFL, but I really like Donovan McNabb.

I really wish the Eagles would pay his salary, bench him, and ruin his career to send a message as to who's in charge here. I'm sure 20 million NFL fans would each contribute a dollar to that cause. I know I would.

I hate the Eagles and I would contribute money for this. The better solution is to play him, throw him a screen with no blockers.

I had this exact conversation with my dad. If you want a franchise WR you have to deal with an asshole. Why? I've heard talk that a lot of times they're frustrated basketball players, I don't know.

Tight End is where it's at. There's not a position in football who's stock has risen more in the last 5-10 years. At one time Brent Jones was one of the leagues best. Guys like Gates & Gonzales are head & shoulders above Brent.

Anyway, you guys should read this:

I second that article

Quote:
Listening to Reid, you get the impression his team would be fine with or without T.O.

Based on recent NFL history, Reid is probably right. The three-time champion Patriots have been noticeably devoid of big-time receivers. In fact, only one of the last six Super Bowl winners has had a player in the top 10 in receiving yards (New England's Brown ranked 10th in '01).

Agreed. And please dont sleep on Alge Crumpler; he may be better than both Gates and T. Goz.

Speaking of Gates, it will be interesting to see how he follows up last season. Talk about a dude literally coming out of nowhere; is he still holding out?

Crump needs a QB who can throw. He was my biggest disappointment last year, other than Westbrook's last minute monday night scratch.

I blame Jerry McGuire. I think wide receivers saw this movie and were like, "I go across the middle and my career could be ended at any time just like Rod Tidwell's almost was!"

i wasnt implying that anyone didnt know who he was; I was just being true to my team.

Yeah, Mike likes to throw to Alge (and Brian Finneran) over anybody else; It will be interesting to see what shakes out between Michael Jenkins, Roddy White, Dez White, and Peerless.

Peerless is apparently taking his demotion well and is busting his ass.

But no one will ever get more than 60 or 70 catches in this offense. The Falcons are a run first team. If Mike can actually get his completion % up----The Falcons will shatter the '72 Dolphins record. :!:

Even if Alge was in a different offence he's not the target at 6.02 that Gonzalez is at 6.05. I don't see him getting 102 receptions or 1,200 yards in a year or a 14 receptions in a game. That would be one accurate QB considering how many 6.01 safetys could run with Alge. Tony towers over DB's & runs away from LBer's. One or the other makes you good, both make you a freak. I just think if anyone in the NFL is the best player at thier position in the last 5-6 years, it's Tony Gonzalez. Gates I just threw in there since he was the first name I thought of after TG.

Gonzo is the only TE you can draft with the WR's. Gates, Heap, Shockey, Crump--they're great if you *have* to start a TE.

Despite his size, Alge has a truly incredible set of hands; it balances out his lack of size.

I agree that Gonzalez has been far and away the best TE in recent history but I feel like he is poised for a very swift decline. Of course, I could be wrong---that dude is That Freak.

If he would fucking stop beating up his wife, I enjoy Randy McMichael in Miami as well.

No compared to Gonz it doesn't. You don't catch 102 without soft hands. And If it's 3rd & goal from the 5 you'd rather have a guy who's 6.05 & was a forward on a division 1 basketball team that you can throw a jump ball to in the back ofd the endzone than a guy who's 6.02

Gates isn't holding out. He signed last week, i believe.

Chargers have all 24 starters returning from last year. Schedule is a bitch though.

So, TO says he had to sign a special secret waiver to play in the Superbowl last year but the Eagles report this isn't true. I wonder who is telling the truth.

TO is one tremendous asshole but how about those abs.

Donovan needs to go Jack Tatum on him.

various philly media types are saying this isn't true.
and the Dr's said the worst that could happen if he got hurt in the Super Bowl was two months damage.

As a Cowboys fan, I have little to crow about this century, but one extremely bright spot has been the emergence of bad ass TE Jason Witten. Do NOT sleep on him, either!
