Or so I'd like to think.

Just lettin' you kids know that I'll be gone most of next week, meeting 450 new employees in Northern California (Salinas, Hayward, Concord and Fremont). It doesn't look like I'll have ANY time for play or music shopping (sorry, Amoeba!) due to working 12-14 hour days.

No parties without adult supervision, understand? No boys or girls in your bedrooms. The place must be clean when I return. And don't forget to take out the trash.

I'll be back late Thursday.

Can we panty raid the CMJ board once or twice a day?

We'll do our best, T; but it won't be the same without you. Safe travels and try to stop into a winery or a good shop to get yourself a little something to make those short nights at the Holiday Inn Express a little more tolerable.

Wanna hear something funny? When my boss and I were planning our itinerary yesterday, the first thing she asked -- "Do you have any shows to go to? If so, we can try and get you back early." I love my boss!

No shows, but was hoping to make it out to Amoeba Berkeley. Won't have time. :(

And, Chris, would LOVE to stop at a winery (or 2 or 3). Looks like more of a stop at the local 7-11 or Circle K for a quickie brew.

Have a good time, eh? Try your best to have a Sideways type adventure.

Just to throw a wrench in your plans. I went to the Bay Area a few weeks ago for business and went to Mod Lang in Berkeley and spent a lot of money. They are like a British music store in Northern California. After that I went to Amoeba and Thursday’s in Berkeley they have 10% off everything that is used. So I got stuff like the Cure Three Imaginary Boys UK deluxe edition (without the fucked up cover) for less then a new U.S. edition. Plus Berkeley prices are so much better than any of the other Amoeba’s and they have expanded the Recent Arrivals section as well.

You are only like 15 miles away from that store, too bad you won’t have time.

Have a safe trip!

This reminds me of the Major Dad episode when the family was living in Virginia - so, a later season, when the kids were older - and the Major and wife went out of town. The two older girls threw a party... Until Gunny and Lt. Holowachuk entered the scene, cleared all the non-relations out, and made the three kids clean the house.

Tania = Image

But, is Darrin, Lt. Holowachuk, and Bob, Gunny, or vice versa?

i'll be finding out tonight at 12:01 AM mountain time if some 25,000 union workers at my company will be going on strike, leaving the rest of the company to work 12 hour days - 7 days/week to pick up their slack. i may have to wake up at 5:30 tomorrow and begin my 12 hour shift at a fucking call center.

edit: so i guess what i forgot to say is that i might also not be around for a while....

That said, still I will take an organized work-force over an unorganized one.

I know, I know...problem is that Amoeba closes at 10pm. I won't be able to make it out before it closes.

Are those the places to go for that sort of thing? Good to know.

Have a good time, uh, doing whatever you'll be doing now that you're not going (?).

Edit: Fixed the quote, and missed post about delay.
