Thoughts? I haven't heard it yet because I'm broke.

It's very good, methinks- only listened to a coupla spins so far. If you liked the 1st release, you will like the new one. A little more fleshed-out arrangements than the debut, with similar quirky/fractured lyrics.

I liked the first one. It's a good chill out album or background music at work. I thought it's quirkiness was less forced than Wilco's YHF.

Anything would sound less forced to me than YHF, but I don't know all that much anyway.

Holopaw is now appearing on colinswood and slsk.

i saw a holopaw video on mtv2 last night - pretty awesome. i just got the album - so far so good. i would advise that people check this band. i can't remember the name of the single but it sounds like a mellow modest mouse.

See Konstantiranks thread.

Maybe if you actually read it you might learn something. Oh! The bitterness of the ignored!

i did...what is your point...i was just giving my opinion+bumping the post to the top....also i DID NOT start a new thread, this was a response. i was not ignoring your thread at all. by the way your thread was not as relevant as this thread (this one focuses on holopaw only).

simma down

edit: i did apprectiate you saying something though. i didn't realize the "lists" category until now. usually find stuff via search - so thanks.

i found their debut to be pretty bland & boring. and the new one was no exception. which is unfortunate as i have an enormous crush on the orth's voice.

i <<loved>> the first album in a big way and i still listen to it all the time. it just has such a beautifully fragile vibe. also riyl whiskeytown & ryan adam's heartbreaker. the new holopaw is on my short list to purchase.

knowing that ort played with brock on ugly cassanova i was thinking of picking it up again even though i don't remember particularly liking it when it came out--but tastes change. thoughts?
