Hey Obnerians.
I'm new to the board as of this week.
As many of you, I've been into music ever since I could scrape moneys together to buy vinyl. I won't highlight the vinyl I'm embarrassed of, but I will name the first few albums I ever bought that I'm prould of owning: Pink Floyd's Animals, BTO's s/t, Eagles' Hotel Cali.
Needless to say, I'm not a vinyl person. 100% of what I buy today is CD.
Of course, I've come a long way baby. The past five years I've been posting regularly at Rave Recs, along with some other familar faces that I see here.
My tastes in music are quite wide and varied: alt.coutnry, indie pop, heavy metal, shoe gazer, elecrtronica, and so on. Woxy internet radio seems to capture most of what I'm currently into. This is not to say that I don't still listen to some of the classics (i.e., top 100 artists/discs of rock -- you know, that kind of thing). It's just that where I live there are too many stations that play the same old classic songs, endlessly and not enough truly new & talented artists.
My other hobbies are my cars, my cigars, movies, friends, exotic travel and mountain biking.
Oh, yeah I also like a good cold beer, now & then.
Anywhoo, I'm just glad to be a part of this really, really interesting group of music lovin' people.
Cheers,
audiobill
