 Post subject: a (not so) high-tech computer question

i have a bunch of old games and prgrams i want/need to run that require MS-DOS to run, but XP doesn't have dos. Is there some sort of DOS emulator or something that i can download to run these files? (command prompt doesn't work)

I'll throw mine in there too. My Firefox crashed and when I restarted it they wanted me to select a user. There were two options and the one I selected doesn't have all my favorites/bookmarks. I've searched around the menus and help section and can't find anything on how to change users! Thanks!

Bloor just posted this same phenominon like 2, three days ago I think, maybe friday at the earliest. The suggestion was to ctrl+alt+delete, and bring up your task manager, and stop anything Firefox from running, then reboot. I'll dig up the old thread in a sec.

thanks, fellas! Is it just if the program crashes? Because I seriously think this was the first time it ever crashed on me. IE was daily.

yeah, probably only when it crashes - the profile is open, doesn't get saved property, and then, kablooie.

dosbox works quite well for this, as long as the hardware requirements arent too high, which, if youre running a game on dos, shouldnt be.

Dosbox 2nded, though you might have to do some minimal tinkering, from what I remember.
