Hometown- most popular, no doubt- Skynyrd. God, how I hate to think about that.

If I had to pick an Athens band (not that I should) it would either be The B-52's or Olivia Tremor Control/Circulatory System.

Flint (where I am now): Grand Funk Railroad is the biggest, though my fave is MC Breed
Saginaw (where I grew up): Stevie Wonder (he was born there) and Madonna

I could also throw out Detroit, but we'd be here for days.

Sketch's locales, a history:
Toledo, OH - we adopted Sponge even though they were from Saline, MI; I endorse the Ann Arbor boys Taproot for similar reasons

State College, PA - The Dirges

Philadelphia, PA - I'll get back to you

Denver, CO - Sixteen Horsepower

London, UK - see Philly

Reading, UK - ummm...

Chatham, then New Brunswick. There's really not a city, other than *the* city, so I take credit for 'em. One of the girls who worked at the record store where I worked in high school dated John Easdale for a while, which is how I was introduced to the band.

The closest band to my town would have to be Overkill from New Providence.
