so they showed a trailer for this at the Aristocrats (pretty much this one) and i noticed at the end that it was directed by Liam Lynch, which i thought was weird. anyone know if the flick's supposed to be a collection of skits or a concert film or something plot-driven or what?

I hope there is lots of scene like the one where she looks like she's taking it in the ass.

good but not as interesting as it could have been. stays pretty superficial and manages to actually get a bit long in the 90 minutes. there are some big laughs but a lot of bigger questions that it raised in my mind go completely unaddressed.

"maybe its like when black guys, call each other........."

I still can't figure out if this broad would make me lift my longstanding ban on femme comics or not.

She does have a certain something that makes me want to do filthy things however. I believe the Zappa line "how's about a little bondage and humiliation?" comes to mind.

Too many unfunny people telling the same joke over and over again got lame kind of quick.

I still have a casette from Hassler, with choice cuts culled from those discs. And NOTHING tops He's So Gay, in more ways than one. Those harmonies... live? Are you f'ing kidding me?!

Wasn't it you that rode with me up to the N. GA mountains in an attempt to bail ______ out of jail with that tape as the soundtrack?

It was. Drove, what, 2, 3 hours, showed up, were unable to do squat, and then drove home half asleep... from like midnight to 7am total? Ugh.

She looks like one of those people other comedians find funny, but really isn't while performing.

I can't say I've caught her act, but have seen her for brief moments on TV. It would appear the main attraction is that she's rather cute (compared with other femme comedians) and the "shock" of her talking openly about blowjobs, anal sex etc.

Could be wrong though.

That's about what I've gathered from some scattered TV bits. Can't say I've been intrigued to see more.

I've been to a Sarah Silverman gig, and the woman is hilarious. And anybody who still gets shocked by a cute woman talking openly about sex might wanna try closing their mouth when they breathe.

I thought The Aristocrats was great, too. It dissects a joke that isn't very funny, and in the process takes a profound look at the very essence of comedy (all while managing to score a high number of belly laughs).

So, for anyone playing the home game, there's two more things I like.

Bringing it to a total of, what, 4?

:)

Sarah Silverman is usually one of the funnier people on those Friar's Club Comedy Central roasts. Not as funny as Jeffrey Ross "Dr. Ruth is here. I wouldn't fuck her with Bea Arthur's dick". But certainly funnier than her man, that putz Jimmy Kimmel.

Yeah, but she's a nice Jewish girl! Oh wait. That would make her interest in blowjobs and such routine not shocking.

That's my impression, too. It's not shocking. It's boring and a cheap schtick (cute girl with potty mouth. Oh how provocative.)
