My car got hit a few days ago as I was stopped at a light on my way to work. This is an old car (1990 Geo Prizm) that I'm getting rid of in December. The bumper was mangled, but the frame and everything else is more or less okay (it has been checked out at 3 shops). Here's the fun part:

Blue Book Trade-In Value of My Car: $455
Check that I just got from State Farm: $906

New receiver and better speakers for the bedroom, here we come!

My car got hit this past winter which left a nice big dent near the right rear trunk area and shattered part of my bumper. I took the $1500 I got from my insurance company and went on a spree. My car still looks shitty but it runs and that's all I care about.

A durango pulled out in front of me a while back. The insurance totaled my car, let me keep it, and cut me a check for 2000. It still runs fine and I got to go to Ireland.

Besides the back and the smashed up passenger side mirror, it's not too bad.

And it's got to have a halfway decent stereo.

I had the joys of a minor fender bender hit and run back in the spring while running an errand for work, sadly the bitch took off and I couldn't get her license plate number so I got fucked.

I still haven't gotten the front headlight fixed because the estimate is something like 800 dollars. And insurance won't cover it without her info. Stupid bitch girl.

The headlight is intact but it's just not working well so I can't drive at night.

Man I would have been all after that bitch, Dukes of Hazzard crash up derby style!

This thread started out like it was going to be a bad thing, and turned out good.

Someone backed into my Escort one time and bent the door in, and I actually had to get in and out of the car, either thru the window (DUkes of Hazzard style) or climb out the passenger window because the driver one wouldn't open. I got the insurance money, bent the door myself, so it would open, and bought a new computer.

Edit: I wonder if there are people out there who drive, trying to get into accidents to collect money.

A chick slid on ice into my truck 2 years ago. I lived downtown on a nasty hill. She went around a corner, lost control, and had a whole row of nicer cars than mine to hit, and even then she hit directly into the 3.5-inch-thick tube steel step bumber, which only dented in an inch, maybe. I tried to replace it, but the place that I went to gave the ins co an estimate WITHOUT LABOR. So I wait, and they come out and say, "it'll work, but we have to weld, so there will be more labor than there was gonna be." I give him the :wtf: and he says "Oh yah, says here on da quote just parts."

Idiots. So yeah, I bought $400 wortha shit.

Yeah I should have but I was in massive shock from being hit. I was on a one way street turning left into this parking lot and apparently the bitch thought it would be fun to fly up on and around me from behind because I wasn't going fast enough for her. WHILE I WAS turning left. It was literally- no one there one second and next "wham". Grrrrr

Dude.....C'mon.

I just my truck out of the body shop from the repairs incured during that attempted car jacking incident.

Looks great. Like a brand new ride.

I think it has a kenwood cd player that I bought a few years ago. It's loud enough for me.

Nope...the exterior and interior are both powder blue, like your suit from prom.

I'm not sure if this was meant to be an insult. I got the car for free dollars, and it runs great. I only need a car until school ends for good in December, so buying a new one is out of the question.
