Shit man, I'm glad she's back and I didn't know she was ill either. Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Holy Crap Bob, I just read that link, I had NO idea this went on!

I'm glad to hear she's ok, that sounded scary as hell of course, I hope she continues to get better!.

I just don't get this gestational diabetes and how common it is suddenly with later pregnancies. I have three people close to me who've been pregnant in the last three years who were over 35(not that I know if your wife was over 35 with last pregnancy or not but I know it's more common in such) and developed it(two are twin sisters and they're both the healthiest eaters I've ever seen) and it scares the hell out of me. To imagine that it could spawn something like this is frightening.

Take care of yourself too.

This is indeed good news Bob!

Woah, that is nuts!
I better tell my pregnant Johanna to watch her sugar intake, because she is a candy and ice cream aholic.

I'm amazed at how you could take the time away from your wife at the hospital to keep all your cyber friends up to date on the happenings.

It means a lot that we mean a lot to you.

I'm glad she is doing better.

Sorry Bob... I am too a loser, and didn't realize your wife was ill. I'm glad to hear she's home and on her way to a full recovery. With a big sixth grade boy to take care of her, how could she not? :) Best wishes, man.

Here's to a quick and full recovery.

I don't know you yet Bob, but this too will pass. Your children must be especially thrilled.

Enjoy her presence,

Bill

Man, you all are the best. It's all I can do not to go all Vermeil over here right now.

Must...keep...composure...through...press...conference...

Sorry I didn't elaborate earlier in this thread about the nature of my wife's ailment. There are really several factors at work:

1. Mega-infected eye tooth that never really de-infected.
2. Blood sugar spike to 500.
3. DAT STAPH in both kidneys...leading to an abcess in one.

Pretty nasty stuff. She was in the hospital from Friday through yesterday, but is back home now. Supposedly, it will take another 4-6 weeks for the infections to fully clear. It's been a pretty chaotic and scary week, but thanks in no small part to the rock that is Obner, all is now well.

I look forward to resuming my smart-ass devil-may-care ways, and leaving the drama to the experts from now on (haha).

All this swirling about him, and the man didn't miss a beat on the birthday postings... on either board.
Truly heroic.

Great to hear she's home Bob. We all hope her recovery is on the short side of the 4-6 weeks - recovering at home makes things heal faster, but it's also torturous because I'm sure it makes her want to get back into the swing of things.
Best of luck.

Now can we talk about this disturbing rumor that you beat up little Grant Miller on the playground and took his lunch money? Shameful.

You did fine. Not quite Fred Thompson level, but good enough. Like Puddy as a DA.

All the best to Mrs. Take.

Pedro had yet to offer Grant his protection, so the fucker was fair game.
