If this happens, I'd turn straight. That's how much I want it.

The other guy is Johnny Damon.

I would hate it to be Damon. He's such a class act.

Yeah, end of last season, he asked for a day off so he could go watch his wife play soccer......regardless, that the Sox locked up the wild card at that point, that is shitty.

my sources still say it's Manny.

Well, that would substantiate my personal belief that anyone who played for the Rangers or Indians in the 90's was juiced.

Hmmm...perhaps, that's why Jim Thome can't seem to get off his ass this season and play.

Oh, come on. Thome is as obviously guilty as Piazza or Pudge Rodriguez.

Honestly, Ive been on this steroid thing since '99. Who the fuck did these guys think that they were fooling?

Manny has taken like 5 days off in the last 2 months, so I don't think Damon taking 1 day off during some meaningless games is "shitty".

from another board:
_jon Wrote:
The source of this rumor is Michael Kay. For the non-Yankee fans here, he is the Yankees moron play by play guy. During a recent Yankees-Angels game, he was ripping on Angels OF Juan Rivera for stealing Jeter's glove when he was with the Yankees. He went on and on about it. Problem is, it was Ruben Rivera who stole the glove.

So I wouldn't put too much faith in this. On the other hand, Clemens wouldn't totally shock me.

Would you believe I have a signed Sal Fasano bat here in my computer room?

If it ends up that MLB is covering shit up, I want Selig fired on the field before Game 1 of the World Series.

He's awesome. Probably the only major leaguer I could outrun in a foot race.

I have a glove at my parents house signed by such stars as:
Dan Gladden
Steve Lyons
Mark Leiter

There's one more on there, but I can't remember who it was. For some reason Doug DeCinces or Bobby Grich comes to mind.

Steroids dont necessarily make you big; its really more about recovery. Thats why the real steroid problem is with pitchers moreso than the power hitters.

But im just reporting rumors. We'll see, right?

I heard NL Central and AL East. Two names are supposedly going to be announced, but I heard that like 2 weeks ago.

Well my friend's dad was talking to Kenny Williams' assistant or something and apparently if the Sox go in a prolonged slump they will. So it looks like we might get him soon.

I had a Dale Murphy jersey in 1982.

I just looked him up: 6-5, 215.
