My opinion: probably not. In fact, unless you're already aware (and dig) the thread of pub rock that runs through the Clash's work, it's quite possible that the 70s cliches of the 101ers will damage your appreciation of the Clash.

Then again, it might make you appreciate 'em all the more to hear their position on the continuum, which will be made readily apparent on the upcoming Obnerpedia graph (um, right, Haq?).
