I watched 8 episodes of "The Shield" last night. In a row. My tv is staying off for a month.

I thought this was supposed to be good??

I'm very curious on how this Prison Break show will be on Fox. Shot in Joliet and parts of Chicago. I think Tunney looks good...

Is Kung Fu Hustle any good? I've watched 25 minutes of it and I can't tell if it's the greatest or the worst thing I've ever seen.

It is good, but I turn on my tv just a handful of times per month. That much tv all at once was overkill. Ugh.

I'm going outside to char some meat.

seen it seen it seen it. THAT's why i do this to myself. also:

1) Bernie Mac is usually good for one or two chuckles. This time, not so much.

2) I LOVED the first xXx and i just had to see how they worked Ice Cube into this. it was really funny for a bit and then it just got out of hand with the CGI monstrosities. Sam Jack had his requisite one-liner that made it borderline worthwhile.

and to the question as to how i have this kind of freetime, i studiously wore condoms when nailing girls of ill repute in high-school/college and as such haven't had a f4df moment yet. also i am very good at what i do.

At first I didn't think Kung Fu Hustle was better than Shaolin Soccer but I think it is now. I have to buy that dvd someday.

Prison Break is the reason Peter Stormare(aka Satan in Constantine, and the blonde in Fargo) is living in my bldg. He's on the show.

It wasn't horrible, really. And the chick was pretty hot. But it certainly wasn't great. It was basically just a way to waste part of my afternoon yesterday.

Okay, yeah, I stand corrected. That one was pretty bad (especially if you've read the book).

But not awful.

Bruce Almighty was bad too. However, after watching Million Dollar Baby, I completely forgot about Morgan's unfortunate role in that Carrey film.

Is the book better than the movie? I bought the book awhile ago but after seeing the movie I've been wary about reading it.

Since i've been solo for a few days I have managed to rent some waste of time.

Dog Days - annoying after the first half hour
Porn Theatre - moderately insightful crap
This Girl's Life - too long for a short story

Irreversible - after everything I heard and expecting a lot, I watched to the tunnel scene and I had enough - I am so tired of mysogny even if its supposed to put you into the reality of it. I think Baise Moi ruined this for me since I saw it first. At least those women got their revenge.

the only exception: Sin City - hated the intro but totally got sucked into that world

I thought the book was really good, but it has a plot loophole (albeit minor) that the movie did not have. They changed something else that was fundamental, which I won't discuss so as not to spoil.

But suffice it to say, the movie was typical Hollywood claptrap, whereas the book was typical King buddy story about humanity disguised as a horror story.
