Apparently there have been rumors Steve Coogan has fathered Courtney Love's child? When and how did this happen? I can't imagine him being involved with her, nor have I heard anything about it until now.

"Rock singer Courtney Love is pregnant by Alan Partridge star Steve Coogan, it has been reported.

According to a tabloid newspaper, Love, 41, discovered she was expecting the British comedian's baby through a home pregnancy kit.

She told the paper: "Yes, I am pregnant with Steve's baby, but I'd rather not talk about our relationship."

A friend of the singer said the baby was conceived during a two week fling while the pair staying at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Hollywood.

The friend added: "She hasn't made any decisions about whether she should keep the baby or not."

However, Coogan's spokeswoman has dismissed the claim as "nonsense".

The troubled widow of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and former lead singer with Hole is currently in rehab after admitting using drugs while on probation in three separate drug and assault cases. She will be sentenced for the violations on September 16.

Coogan's marriage to Caroline Hickman ended last month after she divorced him on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.

Coogan, 39, married Caroline in December 2002. They had just got back together after splitting up when he had a fling with a lap dancer."

Steve Coogan has come out and said the story is a lot of nonsense and they are "just good friends".

There's vague hope Courtney will get better.

The most recent episode being caught with drugs, she cried and seemed to actually be sorry.

The idea of a tearful Love is a kind of vomitous, but from her family and friends' perspectives it means she's finally responsive.

I thought the story about Olivia Newton-John's boyfriend vanishing from his boat was more interesting though.
