Yeah, yeah, yeah- so there's a movie star in the band, which I didn't know until I started reading writeups of the band's 2nd disc, due out Aug. 30th. Who is Jared Leto?

Thing I like about their debut: Crisp, clean recording. They sound a lot like Filter, another of my favorites. Hard rawk at its best.

I hope the next one is as good.

Anyone else like 'em?

I liked the song "Echelon" okay a few years ago, can't remember anything else.

The first record was my favorite relase of 2003....

Just saw em twice in the lasty month.. New record is a bit mellower then the 1st....little poppier....

i dont hear the Filter comparison though....

Along with My So Called Life as Jordan Catalano, he also played Steve Prefontaine in Prefontaine (a pretty good flick), and was in Panic Room, and I believe in Requiem For A Dream.

On a side note, he also nearly plowed over bitterbuffalo and I at Coachella last year---he was shirtless and definitely hopped up on something at the time---he plowed down a woman in front of us, and at probably 150lbs, he nearly knocked the 400+lbs of the two of us over---not an easy feat.

I haven't heard his band.
