"Love in Vain" on Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed

Always preferred the Ya Ya's version..

I'd agree with that but "Monkey Man" and "Country Honk" are even worse.

Monkey Man has one of the best Keef riffs. Ever.

Country Honk I can take or leave..

WTF else is left on LIB ? 'You Can't Always Get' is one song I never need to hear again.

Let us not forget the worst Stones song of all time: "Street Fighting Man" on Beggar's Banquet. Yelch!

That stupid UFO thing at the beginning of 'Axis: Bold As Love'.

That stupid UFO thing in the middle of 'Younger Than Yesterday'.

If we're talking strictly about shitting the bed, you'd have to include "Keep Swinging" from Pedro the Lion - Achilles Heel.

It's a cheesedick attempt to identify with the 'youth culture' and can be seen with 20/20 hindsight as another in Mick's attempts at keeping things 'relevant." Also, his delivery and the sound of the song are over the top, yet boring.

Strangely enough, this is the Stones song Busty most likes to cover.

Yeah, what the fuck was he thinking there.

More Dylan. I know Bloor agrees here:

"Joey" on Desire is what keeps that album from being a true classic IMO and it's 11 MINUTES LONG.

Good call Rick on "Joey" -- it's soooooo whiney. It's my all-time fav Dylan, despite it.

I've never really minded "Rainy Day Women", but "Sad Eyed Lady" has always made we want to stop the record early. That one seems to be a popular favorite among Dylan fans, but it has a lot to do with why I never feel like listening to Blonde on Blonde.

I like both songs, but Rainy Day Women always seemed out of place as the lead track on that album to me.

Robbie Robertson's s/t album, produced by Daniel Lanois in 1987.

What was he thinking with putting that horrible track "american roulette", smack dab in the middle of an otherwise complete-masterpiece.

So it would have clocked in at 39 mins....... so what!!

Change the sheets,

Rainy Day Women does seema bit out of place, and despite its latter day slide into cheesiness, I still like it. Sad Eyed Lady is fucking tight to death...This thread makes me wanna listen to Dylan again for the first time in a while

ab -- stay off the krylon. That song is good, but broken arrow, whether sung by him, or rod stewart, about Indian folklore, or love, is trite and unlistenable.

To each their own, as they say. I can understand not liking Sad Eyed Lady since it's so long but it's probably in my top 10 Dylan songs of all-time.
