Not that kind, you buncha addicts.

I'm leaving in two days for San Fran with all of my co-workers for a big company outing. yay.

Scenario is this....I'm going to be glued to my ipod this whole trip and need some decent sounding ear buds (better than the ipod ones) for somewhat cheap. I need good sound quality, but don't want to drag around my main cans...too damn big and not so stealthy if you catch my drift. What do ya'll reccomend? Budget is no more than $20-$25 bucks, but less would be great.

I got a pair for like $16.99 at best buy that have the things that go into your ear canal, don't really fall out, not the greatest sound, but I'm half deaf/daft anyway so that shit's not huge with me. Go to an electronics store and look around, you'll find what you need.

I think the Sennheiser MX500 are in your price range, but that's about it. And they're not the greatest, but probably a step up from your freebies.

If you prefer buds over 'phones, maybe you could try a pair of Koss "The Plug". I don't know from personal experience, but my PortaPros were pretty good, although a bit bass heavy. Amazon has them for $13, but I've seen Tower sell Koss products.

Sony makes several models that are in your price range.

They sound fine, but only if you use them w/ the foam cushions on the earpiece. W/out, there's not enough bass.
