Apparently, VH1 Classic has an hour on the regular VH1 channel called Classic Alternative or something. They just showed Porno For Pyros "Pets." Now they are showing "The Killing Moon" by Echo and the Bunnymen.

They also changed Insomniac Music Theatre to Nocturnal State and broadened the sort of videos they play overnight. Still a lot of the same crud, but they did play Radiohead's "Knives Out" last night.

I had to drop back to regular cable to catch up on some bills and haven't seen The Alternative for awhile.

Well it was on from 6-7 central time. So if it is regularly scheduled programming, then I'm guessing it will be on every Wed from 6-7 central time. I don't know if they show it any other days. I have never seen it before on regular VH1.

i saw "love song" completely out of context from an "i love the 80s" or some such thing and thought something had gone terribly wrong.

The Love and Rockets track--is that the one with the harmonica solo and funky bass line?

No, because the Alternative host is worse than Pinfield and WAY worse than Kendall. He sucks, actually.
