Small local chain, Squisito for their Caprese with garlic, tomatoes, prosciutto and slices of mozzarella.

Or George's Special from where else but George's. It's got every gotdamn thing in the world on it. Olives, tomatoes, garlic, bacon, sausage, pepperoni, god knows what all else, but it's good.

Chain - Papa Gino's

Local - Imperial, though it kind of sucks unless it's not right out of the oven.

Five Star in Quincy had some pretty good pizza though I think they laced it with crack.

There was a place in downtown crossing that had some great sicilian slices but they're long gone.

It surprises me that any competing restauranteurs have opened pizzeria in Milwaukee. Whether the bros. are from the same line or not, the fear of mafiosi, you would think, would have torpedoed any aspiration to offer pies in the city.

my boy's little b rother got arrested pissing in that alley after a slice 2 nights ago. good stuff.

As a guy who has searched every city he has ever set foot in for good pizza, it's odd that my favorite is Proccolino's in Chestertown, Md. But it is so. fucking. good.

all chain pizza sucks. it is a natural fact.

For something thicker and absolutely fantastic with a great homemade sauce and crust, go to

you know, i've never been there. has it reopened since the flood?

I like Mary Angela's pizza.. it's big and cheesy and delicious. It's conveniently located down the street from Plan 9 as well.

sometimes pizza is worth it. like, daytime, when you can't park downtown.
