I haven't seen a single mention of this album on this board. Has anyone heard it? What do you think?

I can't get over the name. I haven't heard "fannypack" yet, though.
As you already know.

Isn't this the "band" that did the song, Cameltoe?

:?

I suppose in some parts of the world fannypack would mean vigorous frontal insertion, where in North America it's supposed to mean small carrying case worn near your butt. But it always makes me think someone's really constipated.

Monty should approve of this post, even if there's no mention of scabrous Latina hookers.

I also really hated them at first, but something is bringing me to keep going back and listening to their album over and over again. Normally, I would never listen to this type of thing, but some of their beats are pretty great, and the vocals/overall style is really growing on me. Many parts remind me of an upbeat, "fun" version of Arular.

Here's one of the tracks that I've loved from the beginning, for those of you unfamiliar..

one of my good friend's college roommate is in this group. she's apparently making a halfway decent living at it. it's a shame those albums are so goddawful. I think these guys will be our generation's green jelly.

Well I mean it's obvious that they don't take themselves too seriously to begin with, so I don't think it would be a big surprise to anyone (including them).

I'm listening to the album right now, and it's just reinforcing the fact that their album grows on me with each listen. It's one of the most fun, unpretentious releases of the year, and it's unbelievably catchy.

This album has done very little for me after two listens. One of the "Fire Fire" remixes is alright and ended up on a MusicMagic mix. Other than that, though... definitely near the bottom of my '05 release list.

I downloaded the song that was posted yesterday, but just gave it a listen right now and I have to say, I hear what you're saying. This shit is catchy and fun. URB like two years ago was talking extremely high of this trio.
May have to check this album out. Thanks for the song and recommendation.

I just listened to the tune that was posted in this thread, and man, it's up for "Worst Track of the Year" without a doubt.

Piss poor.

I thought you didn't even click on threads of artists you didn't like? Remember you beat me over the head with that point a week ago?

Dalen,
I didn't know much about the band, thanks for posting the live track- it's great. I need to find some more stuff by them.

Makes no sense- which of their albums is this live track on?
