I know there arent many fans here but I thought this was pretty neato:

Some of the hottest names in music and NASCAR will team up for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series this year. Combining superior racing with popular rock n' roll artists makes this event one of the most exciting for both racing and music fans. The band Drive-By Truckers, known for their gutsy roots rock n' roll, began in 1996 with only two band members. Ten years later, they are a band of 5, and have produced eight albums of roots rock for their fans. Driver Dave Blaney will pilot a special paint scheme on September 10th in Richmond featuring the Drive-By Truckers. Racing September 10th in Richmond.

While I'm not a fan of NASCAR I am interested to see what this car will look like.

Yeah, me and my buddy Captain Redneck had an ongoing conversation this past weekend about how over the top NASCAR logos and the like can be---mainly with relation to merch since we were bombarded with it at the race.......Too much of it is just Too Damn Busy but when its done well, it can be pretty cool; I hope this deal falls into the cool category.

BTW andy, met 3 different sets of really nice folks from Indy this wknd....good people, good people.

Yeah, I think NASCARs can look pretty cool if done right but all of the sponsorship stickers and over-the-top paint jobs get to be too much at times.

NASCAR is pretty huge here in Indiana. Glad to hear the Hoosiers you met were friendly folks. If you're into racing, you should come up for the Brickyard or Indy 500 sometime, it's one big party for those events in this city.

DAMN! I wonder if Patterson had this as a specific goal in mind ten years ago.
