<------- this guy did today at work. it's all purple and bruised and hurts a bit. not the worst pain i've ever been in but it's not really fun. i have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning thru work because it happened on the job and i get workman's comp or something. maybe i'll take a picture of it.

I broke two toes back when I was a doorman and it hurt like a motherfucker when I walked on it. Not much they can do except tell you to try not to walk on it much. You may also get this goofy "boot" to wear.

Broke my second toe on my left foot when I was drunk once. The next morning needless to say was not pleasant.

I did the same thing Balls did...but my big toe, it was just a bone chip though.

i ran full speed into a door once, barefoor. my toe was at a 90 degree angle pointing straight up. it looked a lot worse that it was. wuss.

I broke the toe next to my big toe on my left foot when I slipped going down the ladder on my loft in my dorm room. I was trying to hurry up and answer the door, and missed the 3rd rung in the dark. I was pissed the person at the door wasn't even someone I knew.
It didn't hurt too bad. It throbbed after swelling up pretty fast and then went mostly numb. It wasn't a major break and I was able to walk on it with ease, once it was heavily taped so it didn't move.

It's weird that until I fractured my wrist last summer I'd never broken a bone and now I'm suddenly evel fucking knievel. This doesn't bode well for when I'm 60 and trying to deliver mail in the winter.

I never broke a toe but did accidentally rip the toenail of my left big toe completely off.

I broke my second to little toe 2 Tuesdays ago. Stubbed it to all hell with just socks on. It was real purple & swelled until I taped it to the next 2 toes & it's been a lot better. I'm guessing I need to tape it for at least 4-6 weeks. Even when the tape is off I have virtually no movement in all of my toes on that foot except the big one.

Broke my left big toe maybe 10 years ago sprinting barefoot on the beach in Florida. Toenail'll never be the same.

quick recovery jon. i broke one of my toes when i was a kid, and it sucked.

I broke a toe at soccer practice as a kid because I wasn't wearing cleats. I got the shit kicked out of my foot by another kid. The coach didn't believe there was anything really wrong with me, and had me trying to "walk it off" for I don't remember how long.

Yeah, my toes have been through a lot. The last time was I dropped a car jack on my foot while I was working on my 1969 VW. I was wearing sandals. It's still rather tender.

I dropped a Mesa 2X10 bass cabinet and broke my left big toe something fierce.

When I was going through my growth spurt I broke all 10 toes at one time. On two different occasions. I had a low osteocyte count.

Those are the sickest looking toenails I've seen in my life. Worse than those "cure your yellow toenails" commercials.

Yeah. Kept losing my balance trying not to walk on it -- you forget how important they are to that.
