I'm in deep shit! A friend entrusted that I have a 7" single signed for by a band. Had left it in my car in between some things on the floor. Well, I was taking stuff out of my car just now and noticed that it had warped!!! (It was quite hot this past weekend.) What can I do to unwarp it without damaging it? Anyone have any true and tried suggestions?

I feel absolutely horrible!! I don't even know how to tell her what's happened to it.

I'm gonna be killed. She's never gonna forgive me.

1. you should die
2. put it between two stacks of wet paper towels and put it in the oven for, oh, a while.

Wait, she gave it to you to GET it signed, or she gave it to you to hold and it happens to be signed?

Found this for you. I don't have any idea if it works!!

The Warped Vinyl Solution

Much like blondes, warped vinyl sucks. Get it?! Anyway, here's a little trick I've used a couple of time for all that are interested. Boil water and pour it over a thin towel or paper towel. Wrap it around the record and put it in a plastic bag. Place this on a flat surface and put a flat, heavy object on it, like a book or SUV. Let that sit for a couple hours while rewetting the towel with boiling water every now and then. Your records should come out flatter than your next door neighbor's lonely daughter. This has worked for me on several occasions. The only damage to your records is some peeled labels which, if it's really important, can be prevented by applying clear nail polish to the label. Just don't try to remove it later. It'll eat a hole in your record wider than Adams's fan base. Hope this helps. Shibby.

get 2 heavy books, put the 7" between them, set it outside for an hour on level ground, done.

i've done it numerous times [it saved several of my early Revelations Records 7"s!!]

If I know Aural, she doesn't have any books.

If you've had it signed already they probably only care about the sleeve, anyway. The actual vinyl can probably be replaced if they have to.

If that were the case, I wouldn't be that worried, but it was the label that was signed.
