I'm on some sort of quest to come up with a list of essential indieish albums. It's more of a time-filling hobby. So that the end result, the final list, will read like a textbook introductory guide to the world of indie music.

Of the following 137 albums, place your vote for the albums which you feel can safely be removed from the list. Albums that are by no means essential or simply do not belong high up on a list compared to others. You can choose ten, I guess? And I'll strike off the twenty with the highest votes against them after a period of sufficient voting.

Locust Abortion Technician is good, but it's no Psychic...Powerless or Hairway to Steven. That doesn't mean it's getting a vote off from me, however. I'll work on that later.

My question is, how are we actually going to eliminate albums? One vote off? 5 votes?

Edit: Nevermind, I see you covered my question in your post.

Why did some of the albums I voted for get changed to other albums? The Fall, for example. Just wondering.

Some of these votes are just due to what I've actually listened to (I can promise you I like the Pulp album better than that Pedro the Lion album, but I've never heard more than one or two songs by Pedro, therefore I can't vote for it).

My ten least favorite of what I've heard:

Bright Eyes - Lifted
Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism

Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin - Jesus Christ I hate this album
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions
Pulp - Different Class
Radiohead - OK Computer
Spoon - Girls Can Tell
XTC - Skylarking
