...and I got married.
Hence, the thumbs-up.

Di would have probably dominated the topic of conversation at our wedding, if everyone hadn't been so drunk and stoned and falling in the lake and having so much fun.

Dianna was cool for her philanthropy, but the rest of the royal family = wankers.

She was no more philanthropic than the rest of the royal family, so what is it that makes her cool - the fact that you got to read about her fashion choices in People magazine?

Hard to believe it's been 8 years. That must mean it's like 6 years since John F. Kennedy Jr. died.

I was out in a bar getting an early start on celebrating my birthday, which was shaping up to be one of the funnest ever. The place was dead and the dj was playing anything and everything for us. Free rounds were abundant. Then someone came in and said Diana was in an accident. It didn't take long after that for the music and the free rounds to stop. I was pissed, the way people were hanging off the television, you'd think the fucking world war III had broken out.

i find it interesting more people cared that di died than mother theresa, who died the same day. imo, she more deserves to be remembered.

Christopher Hitchens would disagree.

I'm pretty ambivalent to both.

8 years ago today I was on the most fucked up acid trip of my life, Pitt beat Miami in football, a carload of women tried to sollicit sex from me, and I walked boisterously into a lobby of weeping girls and proclaimed "what's up, motherfuckers!" before I realized what was going on.

a heady young lad I was. jesus i almost forgot about that night entirely. Probably the most ridiculous night of my freshman year.

Yeah, interesting book, but I got the feeling he took her down a peg just to prove he could.

I very clearly remember the death of Diana and it's aftermath as it was possibly the most embarrassing outpouring of pseudo-grief in the nations entire history.

The following week, where there was only one opinion, one way of thinking or else, was probably the closest Britain has ever come to totalitarianism.

It would have been cool if they both Diana and Theresa met their deaths by being impaled on the same double headed dildo.

The Kroenke family (Wal Wart heirs, Pepsi Center, Av's & Nuggets) bought the house in Malibu Dodi Fayed had just bought before his death. Last I heard (2001-02) the house lays empty except the live-in butler that came with the house. That's what I'm mourning. Perfectly good mansion in Malibu unused. No skinnydipping at 4am, no coke lines being cut on the small of the back of a struggling actresses, no 19 year old European tourists experimenting with thier first lesbian experiance in front of a crowd in the hot tub. What a waste
