Congrats to ESPN (who were praying that Boise State would win for reasons too numerous to state) for refusing to give UGA any credit for kicking the living shit out of Boise St. last night.

"Zabranski just made some mistakes"

"This heat must have really been affecting him"

"He didnt have his comfort level with his receivers"

Laughable. Georgia's D fucked you up and the Offense yawned its way through scoring at will.

One game down, many more to go. I'm a pragmatist (Unlike Spade who, if he were lucky enough to be a Dawgs fan, would be declaring this the best team since the 1987 Hurricanes) so its on to South Carolina next week. Bring on Spurrier

Navy wasn't bad. Maryland will not see a bowl invitation in the mail this year.

i didn't expect the game to go THAT poorly for Boise st. GA's going to beat the living shit out of SC, they shouldn't even have to play that one.

Oh but I want to, if for nothing else to see "The Old Ball Coach" throw his visor 80 or 90 times....

BTW, I went 5-0 this weekend in straight bets (1-2 in sucker parlays but what can you expect)

Central Florida +something
Ohio State -15
TCU +25
UGA -7.5
Texas -39.5

Not bad, eh? I should retire now while on top.

Apparently officiating in the state of Illinois is as crooked as the politics. Rutgers was robbed, bent over and raped, and then robbed again.

i had that game in one of my parlays (I had IU +2) and had given it up for dead, but you are right---I thought home cooking by officials like that only happened in the SEC but no......

Boise State was garbage. Oh and about the heat. It was only 85 with 40 percent humidity at game time. For all you non-southerners out there, that ain't shit for heat. I love the fact that we didn't even have to go beyond a high school playbook to score on them at will (not as though scoring on BSU has ever been considered that hard to).

The encouraging thing is Hart played a smart game--a couple key dropped passes not his fault, and no INT's. Given the Panthers' performance against ND, we might have a shot a taking down Pitt, although we needed this week for a shot at a winning season.

I only watched the ND-Pitt game. Pitt wasn't looking too hot, but ND needs some credit. They looked pretty promising on offense and the D wasn't terrible. Who knows though.

beavs and ducks both win against some crappy competition. but the Ducks have a shit load of talent on offense - pretty scary.

ND needs some credit

As Obner's resident Fightin' Irish fanatic, I want to state for the record that after one game under the Charlie Weis regime, I want to bear his child.

And not to kick a guy when he's down, especially one so likable, but things haven't started out too well for the Huskies in the Willingham era. I hope my pseudo-gloating won't result in a karma-driven beatdown of ND by Michigan next week.
