Yesterday, I just bought a CD for my wife and helped her complete her collection of albums by – Kasey Chambers. A good artist, to be sure, but not one I would have necessarily tried to search out everything by for myself.

Those three albums, and a live recording (taped off local station WXRT) now ait very comfortable in my collection.

So, are there any artists some of us here may be surprised to find that you have their complete works in your stacks? (And I'm not talking about TimmyJoe and Collective Soul or Stacey and matchbox20... we all know about those love affairs!)

I think the only artists that qualify me for this are Frank Zappa and Jethro Tull. There are other artists that I have all the studio albums but not live releases etc.

I have every Suede (or London Suede or whatever you want to call them) album, e.p and single up until 'Head Music'. After that they went crap so I have all the good stuff. About 30 or so CD's in all.

Off the top of my head (at least all of the studio albums of artists having more than 3, and in no order):

Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Radiohead
Wilco
Collective Soul
Rage Against the Machine
Smashing Pumpkins
The Beatles
Live
Massive Attack
Steely Dan
Beck
Nirvana
Sigur Ros
The Velvet Underground
Sublime

Probably some more I can't remember, and there's a few I'm close to having everything in some format or another. I've almost got all of The Who albums on vinyl now.

Jean-Michel Jarre
Kraftwerk
Led Zep
NIN
Mike Oldfield
Pink Floyd
Portishead (but what do they have...like, three albums out?)
Rachel's
Talk Talk (including several compilations)
Vangelis

lots of others

Not:

Skinny Puppy
Tangerine Dream
Klaus Schulze
Gary Numan
Ulver
Slayer

...just too damn many (well, not Skinny Puppy, but I haven't joined the club yet, so I still need the exclusive stuff), although it's not for lack of trying (I have more Klaus Schulze CD's than any other single artist in my collection, and probably my KS collection is bigger than some of your overall collections).

Yes, thank you, although, I did not buy them this way. Also, due to some incredible luck, I have acquired other albums that are not part of RYKO's catalogue, including the highly sought after and rare but extremely expensive Civilization Phaze III. However, I do not have albums that are compilations with the exception of Lather, which is a special case.
