Wow. I have two Too Much Joy releases and didn't realize there was much else to even have.

I can't compete (even with 10 or 12 Dolly Parton albums).

wow. you've must have been collecting for years.

Yeah, pretty close. I "collected" it several years ago from a yard sale. Though, there may have been a remaster that added a ninth or tenth song, so maybe I'm not such a completist.

I used to think I was a completist, but I've gotten lazy over the last few years. There are a few artists I'm working on though.

I'm keeping the completist bar low.

Not GBV high.

Yikes, I thought I could've listed them, with the exception of not having an original Praxis pressing of Fervor, but I don't think I can name 35 releases, let alone claim ownership.

Ten years ago I would have done better, but I'm not much of a completist anymore and the bands I used to be completist about have all gotten the suck for at least a few albums.

Hmmm.
Auteurs
Godspeed ... (not sure how that came about but I believe it is complete)
Mclusky
Joy Division
The Smiths

I note a tendency towards defunctness.

Yesterday, I just bought a CD for my wife and helped her complete her collection of albums by – Kasey Chambers. A good artist, to be sure, but not one I would have necessarily tried to search out everything by for myself.

Those three albums, and a live recording (taped off local station WXRT) now ait very comfortable in my collection.

umm did you just call Kasey Chambers a good artist? Errrr...whathefuck? Why don't you tape a dental drill for a couple of hours and a baby crying and complete a collection of "Things That Sound Like Kasey Chambers' Voice"?
