I've been a huge Wal-Mart hater myself (I am, after all, a small businessman) but they have, so far, given 40 MILLION DOLLARS to the hurricane relief.

I saw yr. boy T. Boone Pickens on Larry King, goading people into writing checks. Said he had given $5mil out of his own pocket, and would do another $1mil if he thought it owuld help open up some pocket books.

Hell, I even wrote a check for Busty so his company would match it, and I don't give money to ANY causes.

i hate walmart but big ups to them. they have been doing a lot to try to rehabilitate their corporate image. hopefully it is more than marketing. most towns around Portland are refusing to allow wal mart to move in over the past couple of years.

Haaaaaaaaa...... Yeah, even the normally tight-assed check books of Sun State have been opened up to the tune of a couple Grrrr so far.

I also raised a decent amount during Bingo last night (shit, should I post the playlist?) though I openly lied about matching everbody's donations......c'mon!

Remember when we took up that collection for 9/11 victims and then almost stomped that dude for trying to say we weren;t gonna send the money on to charity?

good times.

I'm not saying it happens, but in my business, people allegedly do things like this all the time. All Alleged, of course.

People have their opinions just like you do. Just agree to disagree and let's move on.

And I've already done all the donating I'm going to do, so I'll have to say, no thank you, to your pledge.

I sent a measly $50 to Busty, which will equal $100, but fuck it, if we wanna start an obner fund drive, I'll match Yail's $100.

You don't buy relief materials with percentages; you buy them with fucking dollars. $40M will buy a whole lot more than any of us could possibly hope to provide.
