Oh fuck yes.

From Steve's comment in the Yankee thread.

Sadistic joy or absolute horror?

The movie was funny. Ben Stiller had a huge penis in it!

I'm going to come up there and you throw you in the lake, then set it on fire again.

Yeah, I didn't mind the movie. I thought for sure I'd think it was utterly stupid but it had some redeeming qualities.

So far, dodgeball the game, is getting good reviews. I'm glad to see that competition on the playground might be acceptable. Those against it are either pussy academics or pussy liberals..... both who got nailed by the big red rubber ball because they weren't popular to be picked on the good team nor fast enough.

This movie, and everything Stiller touches, is toxically unfunny. He needs to be publicly castrated and have his tongue removed with a spoon (cos it will hurt worse!!)

I promise that anyone who watched 10 minutes of this movie with me would either hate the movie, or want to fight me. The problem with this movie, and Stiller in general is that it goes for the easy chuckle, when it could produce some real laughs. Now, obviously the whole piece is contrived, but he plays things SO OVER THE TOP that it is cringe inducing. Also, things like when he says "You're gonna taste the taint," or when he hits the folks kissing in the crowd and says "Joanie loves Chachi!" am I supposed to laugh because he taint? becuase he can reference a bad show from the early 80s?

I mean, watching scenes, you can almost see the thought processes "So, we'll have a team called The Yukon Lumberjacks...AND DRess 'em like LUMBERJACKS, BAHAHAHAAHA!!!"

HE MUST BE STOPPED

I will always stand by this, which Stiller directed and had bit cameos in:

I do find that to be Carrey's best movie, because it had some dark edges to, and is not too far over the top in delivery. But, go back and watch movies like "Flirting with Disaster," and he is basically doing a Z-Grade update of Woody Allen.

No, the movie sucked. Hard. And long. It will stand as an embarrassment to the grandchildren of those involved in its making.
