Shit happened to me today, too. None of the co-workers remember the Great Muppet Caper commemorative glasses from McDonald's. Fuckers don't even remember the Smurf ones from Pizza Hut. But when anyone elicits a 'Teddy Ruxpin' the kids go nuts.

I'm so close to going velour sweatsuits all day long.

who was it that wrote that piece about how all his skater buddies would skate around in front of his house blaring old punk rock out of a teddy ruxpin? that shit still cracks me up.

When Bob Dylan won the grammy for Time Out of Mind or whatever, some of my students were talking about it.

"Bob Dylan? Who's that?"
"It's Jakob Dylan's father."
"Oh."

Now I'm sure they don't know even know who Jakob is, so I'm 2XOLD.

The fact that you do, however, is way awesome.

I remember when gas first crossed $1.00 per gallon. Everyone thought the world was ending.

You can still get it in glass bottles. Maybe you can't in America though, you don't even get real sugar in yours.

Cheap-shot!

Also, a little gay, since. She. Looks. Just. Like. Her. Dad.

But, then again, you are a Down-low Cracker for OPA!, so... That's ok.

I was born the year before Kurt. But I only feel old in my damn knees. Everything else is fine.

Well except when I hear some kid refer to 311 and Live as "old school rock."

I've had a few moments like that. But yeah, this one was the most recent. Yikes.

Hard to believe... We think of you as an Obner Old-timer, playing in the forty-feet-between-bases charity softball match before the league game, but Kurt is an insouciant young thing, always twenty-seven. But, damn, he'd be thirty-eight this year, and having a Ward Cleaver moment, trying to figure out how to talk to his little girl about the birds and the bees. (Judging from Heavier than Heaven, it probably would have involved a demonstration of interspecies mating, rabbits and cats.)

Hard to believe.

Them Sleeper's Grocery & Hardware cashiers play HARD. Especially that old broad with the lazy eye from the meat dept. I did get a double that one time, though.

I went a new gym on Tuesday, and my trainer is putting me on a softball-esque training session (no, not beer drinking and belly scratching exercises, wise asses).....

And four days later, I still can barely lift my arms....

good things, games dont start for a few more weeks.

I've had way too many "I feel old" moments last few months.

But yeah, seeing that pic of her in the paper made me go "woah, I remember when she was on Courtney's hip as a baby".
