It's official. As long as two people show up, that is...;)

Anyway, let's get this thing rolling. We're looking for a place to do dinner, perhaps some drinking, prior to the Riviera show at 10:00.

Aaron and Katie, I'm looking to you to suggest a place being that you live in Brooklyn, or anyone who knows the area. I'm a Queens boy, don't know Brooklyn...:D

OK, so who's gonna be there?

Katie? Aaron? Dov? Chad? Lenny? Jen? Josh B? Derek? Dri?

Speak up!

I can't speak for the guys cause they'll be just coming into town and will have sound check etc.

But I'll be in NY friday morning at my sis in law's in Brooklyn, so her and I should be there(well I will be for sure).

I'd prefer an early dinner since I work until 5:00 Wed and rather not have to fit our get together in my one-hour lunch time. But whatever works. Let me know.

I don't know too many places in bkln to eat, honestly (much less in Red Hook)... Two Boots in Park Slope is tasty gourmet pizza and they have sangria and various other drinkies. We could probably just meet at my place and order in and grab a case of PBR, save some money. Again though, lots of stairs. Any other brooklyn restaurants good for gathering?

Do you live alone? I wouldn't want to impose on a roommate. I think your place would be the best idea for pre-show food and drinks.

How far are you from the Hook?

With a few drinks in us, the train ride should be fun.

Hell anything sounds good to me. I'll go anywhere, just point me in the right direction.

Oh, and I'll be in the Clinton Hill/Forte Green area. That's where josh's sister lives. So I don't know how far that is from anyone. I just know Katie is in Williamsburg and that's where Dri said she was staying.

I live on the F at Prospect Park West, 4 stops from Carroll St., the closest stop to Red Hook. I can run it by my roommate, but I'm sure he'll be ok with it. I mean, it's a Friday night.

this actually sounds great... i'm on a budget for this trip. but, i don't want to impose if it's too much of a hassle.

once again, i'm coming in at 330pm on tues 9/13. and i will be staying in williamsburg the whole week. i'll be out there until 9/20. so we def have plenty of time. my schedule is up in the air, except for the !!! show (which i'm going to after riviera) and the dfa showcase. sat & sun i have to work at randall's island from noon - early evening. the only thing is i MIGHT have to be there sometime on friday during the day to double check on our booth and make sure our magazines get there on time.... so if that happens, i can leave there and go straight to wherever we decide to meet up. (i don't know how i got suckered into working on my vacation, but hey, my company paid for my flight- so i guess it worked out!)

and you fellow ny'ers need to tell me what subways to take, since i'm so used to driving everywhere. ;)

one more thing, JEN for the riviera show, how would i go about getting tickets to the show? am i just retarded because i can't seem to find info as to where to buy tickets online.

and dov/chris- i'm up for an early dinner on wed. if that works better for you so we don't have to rush thru lunch. both of you have my cell # right?

I know they hold them at will call. They're ten bucks each. You can either buy them at the door or ahead of time.

I'm pretty sure josh is ordering mine this weekend. I know they have a strict will call policy, you have to present the credit card itself used to purchase them along with photo id.

And I second the Aaron suggestion. I think the saving some money aspect is awesome, and it would make the whole dinner thing for everyone more relaxed. Plus aaron having people over is always fun.

You think they'll sell out if I waited to buy them at the door? That would suck.

I really don't know. I have heard that Drums & Tuba does have a decent following, so that could bring em in.

And with these marathons you really never know what will happen.

We should probably see what those here who've been to this thing think.

But it really couldn't hurt to get one ahead of time.

Oh, and here's the website for the club:

I'll risk it. I'll buy my ticket at the door.

Oh yeah, and I mentioned this to Chris earlier today:

I messaged via myspace with Lemur a few days ago and he's planning on being at the show. Forgot to mention dinner to him, so any of you out there who can get in touch with him, maybe you could.

That'd be cool.
