I'm not a fan but wanted to spread the word. From ambitious-outsiders:

Quote:
Following up on the success of 2003’s OLD WORLD UNDERGROUND, WHERE ARE YOU NOW?, Canadian 4-piece Metric is excited to announce the release of a new album, LIVE IT OUT, which will street October 4th on Last Gang Records. In support of the new album, Metric will kick off an extensive US tour, beginning October 2nd at The Paradise in Boston.

Recorded throughout the year in Montreal and Toronto, LIVE IT OUT is, according to frontwoman Emily Haines and guitarist/writing partner/producer James Shaw “an expression of each of us as individual musicians. It’s a record of questions and struggles as opposed to the answers and observations of ‘Old World Underground…’. We recorded it ourselves in Canada without having to explain or justify our decisions to anyone. A lot of people have supported us throughout our various misadventures…Without them we would have been unable to continue making music at all. We wanted to make an album for those people, and we did. The result is 10 spontaneous and heartfelt songs that fucking rock.”

<--- Nearly went on that tour as the "merch girl" but pulled out at the last minute. It would have been cool to come visit each of you. It actually would have paid well too but I just didn't feel like leaving here for 2 months and I'm not exactly what you'd call a fan, just an acquaintance. Oh well.

Shit, I would've bought a ticket just to meet you, Polly.

Btw, I heard you were scheduled to open for Stellastarr* last night in Montreal but didn't at the last minute. Everything ok?

You are a sweetie.

Whoa. How did you hear that?

Basically they asked if we could do it a couple of weeks ago, but things were just to crazy for me here with moving and looking for work.

Gosh, word gets around eh?

I have my spies. ;)

Paul (IdiotJed) was the one who told me. I was completely excited when he told me! Yet, disappointed when he informed me the band backed out. :(

It's weird that it was made public at all because they basically asked us and got the answer that we couldn't do it within the same day.

Yah'll are sweet.

We do hope to play some shows soon but are focusing on finishing the record.

PM me.

I'm disappointed with it. Really liked Our World Underground...
