No link but it's all over CNN.

No word on whether or not he'll go back to running horse shows.

Does Bush only hire people he used to drink with back in the 70s?

The AP just said he's being replaced by Coast Guard Vice Admiral Thad Allen, which will be good.

Hopefully he'll do more than just head up relief efforts. Hopefully he'll get the directorship officially.

Looks like I misspoke.

He's going back to Washington & Allen is just taking over this operation.

ABC reported Brown was stepping down as I was channel surfing & then I went to CNN & they kept saying he was "out", but then they said "out not as in fired but out of the area & back to Washington" WTF kind of wording is that?

no, he did lots of coke with some of these people too.

so wait, Brown isn't getting fired, just sent home for the day? He's getting the equivalent of showing up to work drunk and then clumsily making a pass at an officemate's nanny after accidentally hitting the speeddial on said officemates desk?

BULLSHIT.

This after Bush being recorded and shown on television saying, "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." Whatever, moron.

But you have to wonder... "Brownie" did okay with all the hurricanes in Florida, or do you think that was a Jeb Bush-run operation?

I don't even think that Mike Brown was in FEMA at that time (summer '04). He was a second term appointee, if I recall correctly.
