I like it. It took me about 5 or 6 times through to really enjoy it so give it time. I can definitely see why people can't listen to it but nasily vocals over catchy music is almost always my bag.

I personally don't have a problem with his voice, and if you don't have a problem with "odd" voices, you should be ok. The lyric book comes in handy, though. :wink:

It's surprising to me that there is even any lyrical content in any of this guys songs.

I don't make it a point to listen to tons of new music, but I have listened to the majority of the popular releases this year... and I must say, I can't remember listening to anything this bad.
I love odd voices, Tom Waits (obviously...) being my favorite musician. I love Antony & the Johnsons.. it's just my sort of thing. But this isn't even an odd voice, it's just a guy warbling into a microphone and.. In my opinion it's ridiculously bad.

I meant to say, I voted. I voted no, but I think I should have voted No, you should buy something else instead, or whatever the option was. It just seems like this isn't a worthwhile investment.

I honestly think they're the worst hyped band that I know of. The guy can't sing. At all. And I'm a big fan of Xiu Xiu, Smashing Pumpkins, + 1000 other "annoying singers". The CYHSY guy doesn't pronounce a single word -- hence the "nasally moaning" comment.

The singer from The Wilderness makes this guy sound like Freddie Mercury.

For me, it's partially vocals and a whole lot of hatred for the way he sings.. For the latter, not the way his voice sounds just the way he pronounces words and shit. It's so fucking annoying.

And I love the Talking Heads and Pere Ubu. CYHSY is just annoyingly bad.
