Just popping in to let any concerned know that myself and the family are all OK. We're still without power, could be another few weeks, but I have a generator that supplies me with a fan and refrigerator. I think that the western eyewall missed me by about 50 miles, so we got some massive winds. I lost about 30 trees in my yard, including an 80 or so year-old pecan and oak. Thanks to God, no trees on my house. I did catch one on my truck and am still unable to use it, but my wife's van made it through fine. Super thanks to all who have had us in your thoughts and prayers. Just continue to pray for the chaos that is New Orleans. If you have a TV, you know what I'm talking about. We have many displaced persons (can't call them refugees) in our area, and there is a huge question about what the school that I teach at is going to be like when we go back. I don't have time to read the threads to see what all you guys know, but it is definitely not pretty here. People are riding around my area armed to the gill in fear of what's going on. There have already been several residences/businesses broken into in my area. I only hope it was by people who are sincerely desparate for the things there. Martial law may be in order.

Anyway, we're all physically fine, and I look forward to being able to post more when the power's back. So long from the second circle of Inferno. :wink:

As of 6 PM this evening, I have had power restored. Thanks all you guys. Chase and Yail, that donation thing you're doing is great. This place is a wasteland (not the board, my area).
