Today is my wife's birthday, but the party is tomorrow. I got her tix to see Built To Spill. Shhh, don't tell her, it's a surprise.

Tonight: Went to see The Redwalls and The Colour at The Roxy, skipped out before OkGo! took the stage. Attempted to go to the Troubadour to see Maximo Park, but couldn't justify spending 7 bucks for parking and another 12 for what would basically be 30-45 minutes of a show. Said 'forget it' and drove home.

Saturday: Mom gets bailed out of the hospital (she had a heart attack previous weekend); hopefully, do girlie stuff before / after picking her up. Was gonna go to a techno party but doubt I'll be able to go now. *sigh*

Sunday: Sleep in and do fuck all.

Sat: Laundry, work, work-related dinner. Reminded once again how low rent my background is among these folks. Wonder if I should hate them or not, given that they're good people.
Sun: Work, funeral.

right now I am watching texas and osu and drinking some Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Getting ready to go out to dinner for some italian and then a movie. last night went out for 3.50 martinis and some moroccan food. tomorrow - more research - got my topic kind of nailed down for my paper - i will be looking into the tax consequences that arise when companies give people company cars and the employees use them for personal use - some interesting valuation problems come up. well interesting in a tax law kind of way.
