Has dude, through one of his groups, ever done an album of like Standards?-----that could really be pretty neat if it had the right cast of musicians/production.

Listening to one of my all time favorite records as a Dawg pres-game: the s/t first Mr. Bungle record.

Also hilarious to me that 2(!!!) Faith No More songs are being used in TV spots right now.

Maybe Roddy Bottom can finally get that sterling silver plug/leather diaper hes been wishing for out of the Queers and Youngbucks catalog for so long. Or maybe just a quick little ensemble from International Male will work..............

No I'm pretty sure he hasn't.

There's a bunch of songs he covered when he was with FNM that I have on cd singles and shit though.

I Wanna Fuck Myself by GG Allin
Spanish Eyes, also covered by Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck
I Started A Joke by the Bee Gees
Greenfields by The Brothers Four

There's also the The Director's Cut by Fantomas that's all covers but only a few songs on it where he actually sings.

Also such things as "The Final Countdown"

The first time I saw Bungle they did Elton's "Someone Saved My Life"

A good buddy used to have a video bootleg where they came out and did the "Welcome Back Kotter" theme in Spanish, left the stage, then came back and did it again in English, Then they did some kind of mix of "Home Sweet Home" and "Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me"

But I was thinking more of an album of real, like American Standards with somebody like Zorn or Brion at the controls to keep it focused/weird...

Is Patton still doing a lot of drugs?

Nope, no album of standards yet. He's still pretty young though, I'd expect something like that from him when he's in his 50's or something though I really wouldn't think he'd actually do it. I think he'd rather be weird. I'm not sure he's actually on drugs.

Yeah FMN and Bungle threw a lot of "hit" pieces of songs into their live sets. The Live At Brixton album contains parts of New Kids On The Block's The Right Stuff and Technotronic's Pump Up The Jam.
