Oh, yeah: it's a girl! My wife gave birth to our absolutely beautiful daughter Amanda Grace on Monday, August 29 at 2:53. She was 7 lbs, 9 oz., 20.25" long (why do they measure babies, anyway?) and just freaking cute as hell:



And now I have to go back to work after two weeks off taking care of her and my wife. Boo. I never thought I'd say that having a baby blow a big wad of chunky mustard-yellow crap through the one little opening in her diaper across my leg would be preferable to sitting behind a desk doing really boring design work, but there you go: it is.

I've been up almost all freakin' night! Eight hours of work on slightly over two hours sleep (due to Amanda being awake half the night) after two weeks off is going to be quite an adventure. Not to mention the long, slow drive to and from . . . Of course, now she and my wife are sound asleep and have been for a couple of hours. Me? I'm wide awake and hanging out on Obner at 5:20 am.
