Anyone heard this?
It drops today, and I was excited about it when I first heard about it. It's kind of like the Santana disc with a bunch of guest stars, and then I heard who some of the guests were and now I'm not too sure about it.

Any B.B. King fans out there?

I read it was named 80 because his 80th birthday is this week. Now that is pretty old to still be rockin' it.

All I know is, he better get about thirty birthday cards - one from each of his kids - or he's getting out the belt.

I've got a few live albums, play them regularly, and really enjoy them. Although I probably won't be interested in this, unless the reviews lead me that way...I need to pick up some of his past works, throw some titles out there...

My favorite disc is the San Quentin one.

Reflections is ok. It's pretty low key. I like his rockin' stuff.

AMG only gave 80 2.5 stars.

was just released also and would be a great purchase if you don't have much early BB

how about this one :

Possibly the best single disc collection you could get that hits most of the highlights from his entire career. You miss out on a lot of great stuff, but it's a great primer to see if you want to dig deeper. Also, most B.B. fans would definitely suggest his live album Live At The Regal.

I've got Live at Cook County Jail on vinyl, and that's my favorite of his.

Well, I bought '80' on Saturday because Best Buy had it for $7.99.
It is pretty darn good. I think I like the song with Billy Gibbons best so far. B.B. can still bring it!
