No, timmyJ, can't get one of those here, gonna use CONCRETE (arr arr) plan to buy a pump while I'm in Seattle next month.

Never have, but I've looked at the pre-fab ones that they sell at Home Depot and the like.

I think it'd be awesome to have one with some rocks, plants, fish etc.

Of course it would probably just become a filthy wading pool for the dogs.

Nope, Belize has no franchised or corporate businesses like Home Depot and Taco Bell except the one Subway sandwich shop in Belize City. We do, however have cheap labor and lots of building supplies, since there's a housing boom here on the island. It looks like its not too hard, pond building.
You know, I am wondering about the dogs, Bloor, you may be right, plus I have a pack of raccoons that run my nieghborhood (sports book,pimpin', protection racket, the usual) and I don't want to encourage them or the rival gang of iguanas....you may be talking me outta this.
