Yeah, new album, sometime in early 2006...I think RCA is doing it still as well.....even though their handling of the first record dropped the ball miserably.

They left RCA awhile back...they're on Island/Def Jam now.

Here's the scoop on the new record, from their MySpace page :

"The new album is finished and waiting to be mastered. The band had a gentleman by the name of Michael Shipley mix the last few songs. This man worked on Def Leppard's "Hysteria" and many other amazing records so its only natural we we're honored to have him work w/ us.

We are rehearsing everyday and getting these new songs ready for your enjoyment.

This week (9/14) we will playing a show at CBGB's in NYC for the CMJ music marathon. It's honor to be one of the last bands who gets to play there if they have to close their doors. CB's is awesome even if the bathrooms are dirtiest in the western world. Dirty bathrooms are what rock is all about or at least a small part of it anyway.
If you happen to be in Boston for the month of October chances are you will have nothing to do on Monday nights. Every Monday night at 10:00 we will playing a show at The Middle East Upstairs. The last Monday however is Halloween and we wont be playing that night but you'll be at a party that night anyway.

Everyone has been asking us when the new record is coming. The truth is that the new record wont be out until Feb/March of 2006. We know that sucks because we hate waiting too. So since we hate waiting we will be releasing a 6 song import E.P. in October. A tour is also be worked out for the month of November. That is everything for now.

Rock."

I'm leery of the new stuff, because Dave Pino's not involved. Make sure to let us know about the new songs, TTK.

I knew a few girls that were big Damone fans in high school. They had Good Charlotte patches.

yeah Damone should be huge. excellent power pop songwriter, the girl (Noelle?) has great vox. very radio-friendly stuff a la Weezer et al. good to hear they are still together. made my top 5 in 2003.

It's in my top 50, for sure.

Too bad you couldn't go last nite, but that IS pretty late for a workin' stiff.

Believe me, I really really hope the new album's great. But "From The Attic" was such a singular vision ( for lack of a less pretentious phrase ) that I'll believe it when I hear it.

TTK - have you ever heard the Noelle album that mutated into "From The Attic"? It's an interesting listen.

I still consider Veruca Salt's 'Eight Arms to Hold You' my favorite female fronted record ever though..... Damone is just a hair below it.

I did too, actually...they really seem to be embracing their cheezmetal tendencies.

All the non-Boston tour dates I saw were with Butch Walker...I assume they're opening.

Can you rip a song from a myspace page?

That be a good start but it got me to think that there's other tracks i'd like to rip out aswell. There must be an app somewhere doing this.

I can burn their stream, but only because I have my PC going into my stereo - including a stand alone CD burner.
