I like it. It's no Radiator or Guerrilla (obviously), but it's got some damn fine tunes.

Favorites so far: "Zoom!," "Ohio Heat," and "Cabin Fever"

Any other opinions out there?

I like it. It's far too early for me to tell where it's going to rank, but every one of their albums has taken a number of listens before I really warmed up to it, and then I've loved them. Except for Mwng - I still can't get into that one, for whatever reason. Love Kraft comes across as a very fitting follow-up to Phantom Power, however. "Atomik Lust" is the first song that has really grabbed me, the rest kind of blends together so far. But . . . give me three weeks and I'll probably be saying this is one of my favorites of the year.

I've heard it twice so far and I think it just might be as good as Fuzzy Logic and Radiator.

I like it. Even if it doesn't all completely work, there are some really masterful songs on the disc.

I am of the opinion that I still need to hear it for myself. But then again, I am also of the opinion that I still need to hear Phantom Phorce.

I have twice listened to it halfway through. Not bad, but definitely disappointing. Sonically it's fantastic, but where are all the melodies?

Zoom and Frequency are definite standouts. I look forward to getting through the whole thing, and having it grow on me.

I would like to add that I really enjoy the instrumental, "Oi Frango."

I noticed this, too. A bit light on the melodies compared to other releases.

It's a bit more complex than the rest of their albums. There are a lot of melodies, but it takes a while longer for the songs to sink in. "Frequency," "Atomik Lust," and "Cabin Fever" are some of the prettiest songs I've heard in a long, long time - especially "Cabin Fever." "Cloudberries" is by far my favorite track of the year.

After listening to the whole thing for the first time, I believe the phrase "soulless mess" popped into my head. No, make that "soul-deadening mess."

But then I started to listen to it again (yeah I'm trying really hard to like it, never a good sign) and I could see how the melodies might take a while to pop out of the songs. I think and hope they're there.

It feels like Love Kraft should be their most accessible album, with its crisp production and ornate arrangements, but the melodies are just so oblique and subtle that I kind of want to say that this is their LEAST accessible disc.

It's all very strange and confusing and frustrating. I guess I just refuse to believe that it actually is what I heard the first time: the sound of a personal favorite band disappearing up its own asshole.

I'd give it a few more listens before worrying too much. I'm not saying your opinion will change, but it seems a lot of people who didn't like the album at first have really grown to love it. I've sort of gone between hating it and loving it. It's just really different from the rest of their output, but not necessarily in a bad way; it's just something... I have a feeling the songs will sound extremely good live, especially "Zoom!" and "Atomik Lust."

Are they going to be touring? I don't care much for their recent material, but I still wouldn't give up the chance to hear some of the 90's material live.

Well, I found myself humming "The Horn" this morning. I think it's growing on me.

I really can't stand "Psyclone!" and "Back on a Roll", though

Yes, in November. They've been playing "Ice Hockey Hair" and "Something 4 the Weekend" a lot recently.

"Back on a Roll" is easily the worst track on the album. I'd go as far as to say it's worse than most of the band's b-sides (although a lot of their b-sides do rule). Bunf's a great guy, but his voice is just sort of... I don't know. It doesn't command the same presence as Gruff's.

"Psyclone," though - it'll come to you, I think.

 Do you know where I can find dates to see when they're coming to LA?

There's no real like official list of tour dates yet. They're apparently going to Anaheim either on the 30th or the 31st of November. Aside from that, there are only like three other dates so far.
