(raises hand after an uncomfortable silence)

Hi everyone.

<Hello, south pacific>

So, as some of you may already know, I'm addicted to purchasing cd's.

<WE LOVE YOU SOUTH PACIFIC!>

Yeah, well anyways, yesterday I felt compelled to go to the thift shop on Waialae Avenue even though I already have more music than I can possibly listen to right now. I mean, I purposely tried to justify it by needing to go the post office which is just a block away but really I chose that out of the way one just so I could feed my habit later down the street.

(pupils dilate)

This is what I found for three dollars each, all in excellent condition:

There was uh, some cd's I left behind though...

(gasps heard from the audience)

Yeah well, I thought they might be there next week and besides, I did enough damage for the time being.

(young indie chick sitting in front sadly shakes her head and looks down at her feet)

Umm, (clears throat) well...this is what I didn't buy this time around:

...and that first Tool EP...and The The's Dusk...and

(breaks down sobbing)

what the fuck kind of thrift store do you live around? the luckiest find i ever had was the smashing pumpkins double disc for two dollars, other than that it's just like REM and shit (which i picked up.. so its not like im criticizing) but no spiritualized or anything.

Man, you are lucky. I only have a couple of places like "Friends Of The Library" who have no idea what they are selling, so they mark everything up to $8-9. :cry:

I've taken crappy discs in to give them and tell them "You can only have these if you put a reasonable price on them." 8)

You scored- good luck w/ rehab. :P

Strangeways is much underrated. And The The album is good, too.

<--- also got Ladies and gentlemen in a thrift store...
